Before joining the Foundation, Nicola worked as a lawyer at Legal Aid, specialising in immigration, social security and disability law. Nicola also has experience in the corporate and community legal sectors and has worked on several cross-sector initiatives providing targeted legal assistance to asylum seekers, victims of domestic violence, people with disabilities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Nicola holds a combined Bachelor of Laws / Arts (Social Inquiry) from the University of Technology Sydney and recently undertook a Graduate Certificate in Social Impact while on parental leave.
Nicola spent her early years in Scotland but is glad to have swapped snow for sun and is happiest enjoying a swim in the ocean.
