Karla is a solicitor and the Assistant Company Secretary, assisting with the governance processes of the Foundation.
She is a charity lawyer, previously part of Gilbert + Tobin's Charity + Social Sector team and has assisted many charities and not-for-profits with their corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Karla has also served as the Company Secretary for Diversity Council Australia, the peak body for workplace diversity and inclusion and as a director on the Board of an Australian youth suicide prevention charity.
Prior to working as a charity lawyer, Karla worked in the charity sector in various governance and policy roles, contributing to the development, design and delivery of research and policy publications on workplace diversity and inclusion. She has also advised workplaces on their diversity and inclusion policies and practices.
