Ahead of finalising PRF’s new strategy, our evaluation team traced back through our journey so far to gather some reflections and take stock of the lessons which have helped inform our new approach.
This ‘snapshot’ article articulates three phases of our evolution – the Foundation period, PRF’s Growth period, and how we began to Scale Impact – and it reveals the five lessons which have shaped us and guided our new strategy:
1. Connect: Acting as a bridge to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among stakeholders.
2. Centre: Prioritizing the needs and solutions of communities and individuals with lived experiences.
3. Partner: Building trust and sharing power with partners to achieve common goals.
4. Adapt: Tailoring support and funding to meet the unique needs of each partnership.
5. Intersect: Addressing the complexity of social issues by working across different impact areas.
PRF’s work over the past decade highlights the importance of collaboration, innovation, and a deep commitment to understanding and addressing the root causes of disadvantage so that we can work towards an Australia where people and places have what they need to thrive.
Looking ahead with a new strategy to guide our work, we remain dedicated to learning from our journey, strengthening partnerships, and refining our approach to make a meaningful, lasting difference in the lives of people across Australia.
