About us

People and communities are wise and resourceful. Across Australia, many people and organisations are working to ensure people have what they need to thrive. Yet, conditions continue to result in certain groups in certain places being more likely to experience disadvantage, often lasting for generations.

As a large philanthropic foundation, we work for a future where people and places have what they need to thrive.

With organisations and communities, we invest in, build, and influence the conditions needed to stop disadvantage in Australia.

Our values reflect those of Paul Ramsay. PRF is not only a testament to his deep empathy, collaborative spirit and disruptive thinking, it is Paul’s enduring commitment to ensuring all people and communities have what they need to thrive.

Courage

We are unafraid to be bold, innovative, take risks and fail in finding better ways of making positive change.

Curiosity

We are committed to learning and unlearning to better understand the people and places that we work with.

Connection

We keep people at the centre of our work and listen deeply.

Agency

Back people and places to determine their future. Prioritise community-led efforts and organisations.

Relationships

Take the time to build fit-for-purpose relationships, transcending transactions. Be both bold and humble.

Reciprocity

Go beyond the funded initiative. Lean on each other’s wisdom, resources and relationships to really advance our shared outcomes.

Working in partnership with others is at the heart of our approach to creating meaningful change. Our principles guide us in how we work in partnership.
